Roberta Massabò is Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She joined Northwestern in 2001 from the University of Genova, Italy. Her research interests are in mechanics of materials and structures with an emphasis on fracture mechanics and advanced composites for aeronautical and aerospace applications. Her Institute work deals with the development of multimedia-supported material for technology-enhanced teaching and learning of undergraduate civil engineering. The material deals with in depth analysis and presentation of large engineering projects that are accessed through remotely operated web-cameras.
