Thanasis Ziliaskopoulos' research involves development of simulation and optimization models and procedures for facilitating the flow of vehicular and freight traffic including development of Web-based interactive tools to allow public consideration of and involvement in the traffic and transportation planning process. His work with the Institute has involved development of modeling techniques to identify truck traffic bottlenecks, and identify and evaluate possible congestion and traffic hazard mitigation measures.
