Richard Finno is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research interests include evaluating full-scale performance of earth retention structures, non-destructive evaluation and failure processes in soil. He has consulted on failures associated with soft ground tunnels and retaining structures, evaluations of ground movements and their effects on structures, slope stability questions, and assessments of damage to structures. His Institute work includes non-destructive evaluations of deep foundations and evaluation of the performance of the deep excavation for the Lurie Research Center and it affects on adjacent utilities.
