Lawrence Snyder, a PhD student from Northwestern University was also named in 2002 as a U.S. Department of Transportation University Transportation Center Student of the Year by the Midwestern Regional University Transportation Center (Region V), located at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Larry was a PhD student in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences, studying robust supply chain optimization.
