Infrastructure Technology Institute

At Northwestern

Through ITI sponsorship, students of civil engineering experience real-world infrastructure issues and projects first hand.

Classroom Support at the University Level

ITI has a history of providing staff support and other resources for curriculum in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Northwestern. A few of these classes include Infrastructure Facilities and Systems, Public Infrastructure Management, a Senior Design Capstone class, and an Auto-Cad class. For many of these classses, experience outside the classroom is vital, and weekly field trips are taken to major infrastructure facilities around the Chicago area. Read more about classroom outreach in our Annual reports.

Northwestern ASCE Student Chapter

ITI has continually supported the Northwestern ASCE Student Chapter by working with the student executive board to establish educational workshops, organize on-campus recruitment activities, plan field trips, interact with other Northwestern faculty and staff, and provide educational enrichment opportunities to students in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
