ITI Announces 2011 Lipinski Symposium

Former Congressman William O. Lipinski opens the 2010 Symposium.

The Infrastructure Technology Institute (ITI) is pleased to announce the 2011 Annual William O. Lipinski Symposium on Transportation Policy will be held Monday November 14, 2011. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00p.m. at the James L. Allen Center on Northwestern University’s Evanston Campus.

The topic of this year’s full day program is “High Speed Rail – Perspectives and Prospects.” There is much excitement and controversy about the prospects for high speed rail across America and particularly in Illinois. This conference will bring together policy makers and technical experts to explore the topic from a variety of perspectives. The objective is to understand our options, their benefits, costs, and uncertainties.

Check the Lipinski Website and the ITI website regularly in the coming weeks for more updates on the symposium program, registration, and other important information.
